The farm pictures I've been posting recently are from our visit on April 29 to a wonderful small family farm. We took pictures with my friend Frances, who is an activist for proper food and farming practices. While there we received a phone call from my mother, telling us my grandmother had died that morning. It really sunk in to me that my grandmother had lived on a farm during the happiest, healthiest part of her childhood. I was glad and amazed that I heard the news of grandma's life ending, when I was at a farm that could have been much like hers as a girl.
